Daniel Arndt, MD, FAES, FACNS

Founder/Owner - Specialists in Pediatric Neurology PLLC: 

  • Dr. Arndt opened SPN with the vision and goal of optimizing the most successful and innovative practices realized in his earlier career while creating and developing 2 nationally relevant/Level IV, Comprehensive Pediatric Epilepsy Programs, and leading the growth of the Division of Pediatric Neurology & Epilepsy at Corewell Health East from 2 doctors to over 45 members, 9 subspecialty programs within Pediatric Neurology, and the highest quality and volume Pediatric Neurology & Epilepsy practices in the State of Michigan.

    • 2 year fellowships at top Pediatric EEG & Epilepsy programs are critical to a successful career in Pediatric Epileptology.  The 1st year of training allows time for mastering skills of Pediatric EEG interpretation and analysis under nationally/internationally recognized mentors, while the 2nd year affords additional, extensive experience and specialized training in video EEG monitoring, epilepsy surgery evaluation, neuromodulation (VNS, DBS, RNS), clinical research, and medically refractory epilepsy care.

  • 2010-2012: DeVos Children's Hospital (now called Corewell Health West Children's Hospital) 
    • Director, Comprehensive Pediatric Epilepsy Program
    • Director, Pediatric Clinical Neurophysiology
    • Joined 5 pediatric neurologists to create the Comprehensive Pediatric Epilepsy Program in 2010 and developed/grew the program to reach level IV certification by 2012. 
      • Level IV certification by NAEC (National Association of Epilepsy Centers) certifies the Epilepsy Center to provide the highest level diagnostic and therapeutic care to children with epilepsy. 
  • 2012 - 2024: Beaumont Children's (now called Corewell Health East Children's Hospital) 
    • Chief, Pediatric Neurology Division
    • Director, Comprehensive Pediatric Epilepsy Program
    • Director, Pediatric Clinical Neurophysiology
    • Chief, Comprehensive Pediatric & Adult Epilepsy Division
    • System Lead, Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring

Ivanna Yau NP - Pediatric Nurse Practitioner

Lead Nurse Practitioner - Specialists in Pediatric Neurology PLLC: 

  • We are thrilled to announce arrival of Ivanna Yau CPNP (Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner), who started in July, 2025. She’s an amazing addition to our team given her training and experience of over 18 years at Toronto Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto, Canada, the largest pediatric neurology and epilepsy program in Canada.  Ivanna was the Lead Nurse Practitioner for Pediatric Epilepsy for over 10 years, which functioned as an internationally known Pediatric Epilepsy and Epilepsy Surgery Program.  Prior to that role, she was the lead Pediatric Nurse Practitioner for the internationally renowned Pediatric Stroke Program for another 8 years.  She trained under internationally recognized physicians and team members and is recognized for her exceptional bedside manner in dealing with children and families.  She’s skilled in connecting with the kids and families, and fits in perfectly with our vision to provide a patient and family centered care model.  She has made an immediate impact on our families and practice!
