Our team leverages over 3 decades of experience in top, academic, pediatric neurology and epilepsy centers to diagnose and treat neurological conditions. Daniel Arndt MD has board certification in pediatric neurology, epilepsy, and clinical neurophysiology.  We use the latest technology and techniques to provide the best possible care for our patients.

We specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of all neurological conditions in children. Our pediatric neurology team provides compassionate care for our younger patients and their families.

We provide specialized care for patients who have seizures and epilepsy, or are concerned their child is having seizures.  We see many second opinions for patients struggling to find an accurate diagnosis or effective treatment for their epilepsy.  Dr. Arndt is nationally recognized for EEG interpretation and epilepsy diagnosis,. We will make sure you understand what the EEG is showing and what type of seizures or epilepsy you have.  We also frequently diagnose non-epileptic disorders or normal variant behaviors when EEGs are negative (behavioral staring spells, syncope, or sleep behaviors).  Whether it is selecting the right medication, or implementing a specialized diet, neuromodulation device (VNS, DBS, RNS), or getting patients to epilepsy surgery, we have over 3 decades of experience collectively at NAEC level 4 epilepsy centers in optimizing treatment and care plans.  We utilize the highest level and most up to date video EEG technology.  Our pediatric-trained EEG technologists also have many years of experience at NAEC level 4 epilepsy centers and are able to set up EEGs effectively and safely in a nurturing fashion to minimize stress for even the most challenging patients.  Our team is dedicated to helping patients and families improve their quality of life by accurately diagnosing and effectively treating patients.  In medically refractory epilepsies, we aim to minimize the unpredictability and potential complications of seizures with a focus on quality of life.  Both Dr. Arndt & Ivanna serve on the Advisory Board for the State of Michigan Epilepsy Foundation.     

We understand the impact that chronic headaches and migraines can have on your quality of life. Our team specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of these conditions and provides individualized care to help you find relief.

We evaluate children with concerns for tics or Tourette Syndrome, and refer for cognitive behavioral therapy or treat when indicated.  We also assess for common co-morbidities of ADHD, OCD, and other behavioral disorders.  Quality of life is a focus.  

We evaluate children with concerns for developmental delays and autism spectrum disorder.  We evaluate for the etiology with EEG, Neuroimaging, Genetic Testing, and other testing when indicated, and screen for any neurological or behavioral component that we can intervene on to improve that patient's or family's life.  We also offer state of the art genetic testing when indicated.  We refer to psychology, psychiatry, and other therapists.  Quality of life is a focus.  

We evaluate children with concerns for concussion and head injuries, and provide comprehensive care for the sequelae such as post-traumatic headaches and seizures.  Dr. Arndt performed clinical research with grants and published extensively on these topics.  We refer to psychology, psychiatry, and other therapists, and work with physical medicine and rehabilitation doctors.  Quality of life is a focus.  

We provide specialized care for patients who have suffered a stroke, including referral for rehabilitation and recovery services. Our team is dedicated to helping patients regain their independence and quality of life.

We will soon offer in-office Neuropsychology Testing by an expert, experienced Pediatric Neuropsychologist with over 10 years of clinical experience.  We accept most PPO insurances, or Cash-only options, for Neuropsychology Testing.  Our Pediatric Neuropsychologist is equally dedicated to helping patients, and families, with accurate diagnoses and recommendations to help regain their independence and improve their quality of life.

We offer ADHD evaluations for children when appropriate, and Creyos ADHD testing when indicated (for children >6yo who can cooperate with the testing on a computer utilizing mouse or keyboard to answer questions and comply with testing.  Creyos testing is a Level 2 FDA approved testing device for ADHD patients >6yo.  Medicaid or Managed care patients will require prior authorization or pre-approval for the Creyos testing to be completed after the first consultation visit.  PPO or HMO-POS or HMO (BCN) Insurances can schedule for Creyos testing at the first consultation without prior authorization or pre-approval.  We accept most PPO & HMO insurances, or simply Cash-only options; please inquire if interested.  We are dedicated to helping patients, and families, with accurate diagnoses and recommendations to help regain their independence and improve their quality of life.

If your struggling to understand your child's seizure, epilepsy, or neurological diagnosis or treatment plan, come see the most experienced Pediatric Epilepsy team in Michigan offering >30 years of combined experience in Pediatric EEG & Epilepsy practice beyond training, and/or equally experienced Pediatric Neurology care.  We offer Second Opinions for all Pediatric Epilepsy and Pediatric Neurology diagnoses and treatment plans.  We see in state and out of state 2nd opinions via either virtual visit and in person visits, and via insurance-based or cash-only options.  We accept most in state insurances for those seeking insurance-based evaluations, but offer cash-only options for insurances that we do not accept, out of state patients, or cash-only families.  Some Health Savings Accounts (HSA) or Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) will allow you to be reimbursed or pay for this service; please inquire with your plans prior to scheduling if interested in this compensation type.  

The 2nd opinion includes: record review, prior EEG/CT/MRI/Study review, EEG during visit for epilepsy cases if able or ordering EEG testing in office or home video EEG monitoring, ordering other neuroimaging or studies when relevant, in person or virtual visit, written report, and ability to follow-up,  The Signature Plan has more personalized and tailored care benefits; please inquire if interested.  Our team is dedicated to getting your child the correct diagnosis and treatment plan, or referring to colleagues across the country when indicated.  We strive to help patients, and families, regain their independence and quality of life.
